Hi, I’m Daša and for the next few months I’m going to be staying with the NSMC as an intern to broaden my knowledge in the field of social marketing and help on various tasks and projects. Having background in psychology and youth organisation work in fields of alcohol and tobacco prevention, I’m looking forward to bring in my experience, as well as learn from the centre’s expertise in social marketing.

That was a quote today from one of the delegates at a seminar I ran today at the Child Welfare Congress in Helsinki. (I don't mean to show off but I am very excited about being in Helsinki and also I wanted to let people know where the quote came from!)

    Training in a different country

    Patrick Ladbury, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 - 20:47

I am in Helsinki this week running four workshops straight after running The NSMC Level 4 Award Course in Cookham. Running the courses back to back really highlight how much you have to adapt your style and content to your audience. NSMC: Our first visit to Jordan

    John Bromley, Friday, July 20, 2012 - 13:35

Steve Menzies and I  are just back from our first visit to Jordan on our ECODIT/USAID contract which aims to develop a 6 month's social marketing training programme for NGO's working in the water, energy and solid waste sectors.  The purpose of the visit was to orientate ourselves to the needs of the NGO sector in Jordan and talk to the people we will be training in September.  The NSMC prides itself on making sure all of our training courses are tailor made to the needs of our clients.  We just don't have "off the shelf" training products t

  • Today's print version of the Metro contains an article with the headline "Pregnant? It doesn't mean you have to stop drinking."  Given the care my wife took not to drink when she was pregnant this headline caught my attention.

  • New work for NSMC in Jordan

    Monday, June 18, 2012 - 13:44

The NSMC has just been awarded a major contract to develop and deliver a social marketing capacity building programme in Jordan with ECODIT.  The NSMC will be helping to implement the Jordan Public Action for Water, Energy and Environment Project under a contract with the United States Agency for International Development (PAP).  The project is a public education and behaviour change communication programme that will lead to increased efficiency in the use of water and energy in Jordan.
